Den VW Scirocco gibt es schon seit 1974. Das Sportcoupé wurde 1992 noch einmal neu aufgelegt und kommt im Jahr 2008 als Scirocco III auf den Markt. Die ersten beiden zweitürigen Generationen des Scirocco orientierten sich am Golf I und wurden 210.000 bzw. 110.000 mal verkauft. Der Scirocco I war in drei Ausstattungsvarianten, zehn Farben und mit drei unterschiedlichen Motoren zu kaufen. Anfang der 90er kam der Scirocco II auf den Markt. Mit weniger Luftwiderstand und neuer Formgebung wurde das Modell schnell zum Erfolg. Etwa zwanzig Prozent der Käufer des Scirocco II waren übrigens Frauen. Und auch der neue Sportcoupé Scirocco III, der im Spätsommer 2008 bei den Händlern steht, bewahrt die Grundidee des Scirocco: Ein alltagstaugliches Coupé soll es sein, das sich aber auch jeder leisten kann. Das ist allerdings die Frage, denn VW möchte 21.750 Euro für den Scirocco III. Flach und breit ist er geblieben, dennoch hat sich nach fast 30 Jahren viel geändert. Heute arbeiten 122 bis 200 PS-Motoren und schaffen es auf 200 km/h Spitzengeschwindigkeit. Und dabei soll er gerade einmal 6,1 Liter auf 100 Kilometern verbrauchen. In 9,7 Sekunden sprintet er auf 100 km/h. Alle Modelle sind serienmäßig mit einem Sechs-Gang-Schaltgetriebe ausgestattet.

Sieht aus wie ne Mischung aus Sirion und Aygo, was nicht gegen das Auto spricht. Auch die Testberichte zollen unisono Anerkennung. Es hatten hoffentlich nicht alle Tester nur die VW-Brille auf. Bleibt abzuwarten, wie sich der L"up"o bei TÜV, Dauertest und TÜV schlägt. Da rangiert ja VW in Sachen Kleinwagen doch eher hinten... more

Schon interessant. Ein Premium Hersteller wie VW muss sich an einem anderen Premium Hersteller wie z.B. Mercedes Benz orientieren um ein neues Produkt auf die Straße zu bringen. Schade, dass der neue Golf nicht mehr stadt-tauglich ist: Bei der geringen Bodenfreiheit und der noch verlängerten Gesamt-Länge findet man im beruflichen Einsatz in der Regel keinen Parkplatz mehr. Ich muß mich also um einen neuen Stadt-Wagen kümmern. more

Schnuckeliges Auto! önnte mir sehr gut gefallen, aber der Preis ist ja nicht von Pappe, daher fahren wir unseren Golf weiter. Ist auch ein schnuckeliges Auto und bleibt so lange, bis er nicht mehr durch den TÜV kommt! Grins! more
