Im Jahr 2002 verlässt der Volkswagen erstmalig die Produktionsstätte von Volkswagen und beginnt seinen Siegeszug mit einer Vielzahl von Extras. Denn bereits die Grundausstattung des VW Phaeton ist mit einer 4-Corner-Luftfederung mit kontinuierlicher und geschwindigkeitsabhängiger Dämpferregelung und dem permanenten Allradantrieb (4 MOTION) ausgestattet. Die zugluftfrei arbeitende Vierzonen-Klimaanlage und das Audio- und Infotainmentsystem komplettieren die Grundversionen der viertürigen Oberklasselimousine. Das Topmodell der Baureihe ist der VW Phaeton W12, denn als Highlight verfügt dieser Wagen über Sitze mit Massage- und Klimafunktion, 18 Zoll-Leichtmetallräder und ein Multifunktionslenkrad aus Leder und Holz. Die Motorenpalette der Limousine umfasst in Europa drei Benzin- und drei Dieseltriebwerke, die zwischen 225 PS und 450 PS stark sind. Das Drehmomentspektrum des VW Phaeton umfasst zwischen 315 und 750 Newtonmetern. Bei den Benzinern stehen ein 3.2 Liter-V6, ein 4.2 Liter-V8 und ein 6.0 Liter-W12 zur Verfügung. Als Dieselmotoren stehen optional ein 3.0 Liter-V6-TDI mit serienmäßigem Dieselpartikelfilter und 5.0 Liter-V10-TDI mit 313 PS zur Wahl. Mit Ausnahme der V6-TDI-Varianten können die Modelle optional mit einem verlängerten Radstand ausgestattet werden. Sieht aus wie ne Mischung aus Sirion und Aygo, was nicht gegen das Auto spricht. Auch die Testberichte zollen unisono Anerkennung. Es hatten hoffentlich nicht alle Tester nur die VW-Brille auf. Bleibt abzuwarten, wie sich der L"up"o bei TÜV, Dauertest und TÜV schlägt. Da rangiert ja VW in Sachen Kleinwagen doch eher hinten... more

Schon interessant. Ein Premium Hersteller wie VW muss sich an einem anderen Premium Hersteller wie z.B. Mercedes Benz orientieren um ein neues Produkt auf die Straße zu bringen. Schade, dass der neue Golf nicht mehr stadt-tauglich ist: Bei der geringen Bodenfreiheit und der noch verlängerten Gesamt-Länge findet man im beruflichen Einsatz in der Regel keinen Parkplatz mehr. Ich muß mich also um einen neuen Stadt-Wagen kümmern. more

Schnuckeliges Auto! önnte mir sehr gut gefallen, aber der Preis ist ja nicht von Pappe, daher fahren wir unseren Golf weiter. Ist auch ein schnuckeliges Auto und bleibt so lange, bis er nicht mehr durch den TÜV kommt! Grins! more
