Der VW Golf Plus ist ein Kompaktvan der Wolfsburger Autobauer von Volkswagen. Er wurde 2005 eingeführt und basierte auf der Golf V Limousine. Gegenüber dieser verfügt der Golf Plus über eine größere Höhe und stellt als Hochdach-Golf eine Neuentwicklung dar. Doppelkupplungs- (TSI- und Diesel-Motoren) und Automatikgetriebe (Benzinmotoren) stehen zur Verfügung. Eine Neuerung stellten die schnell ansprechenden LEDs dar, die beim Golf Plus als erstem Fahrzeug der Kompaktklasse serienmäßig als Rückleuchten eingebaut wurden.

Facelift 2009 mit feinen optischen Änderungen

Anfang 2009 wurde das erste Facelift mit dem VW Golf Plus durchgeführt und das Fahrzeug durchlief eine optische Überarbeitung. Deutlichste Veränderung zeigte die Anpassung der Frontscheinwerfer an den Golf VI. Wenig verändert wurden die Seiten des neuen Kompaktvans, wohingegen die Heckleuchten dunkler erscheinen als beim Vorläufer. Leichtmetallräder und Radkappen wurden ebenfalls gegen neue Modelle ausgetauscht, eine Dachreling ist seitdem serienmäßig zu finden.

Vielfältige Ausstattungsvarianten

Aktuell finden sich acht unterschiedliche Ausstattungsvarianten für den Golf Plus. Die kleinste und zugleich günstigste von ihnen ist die Trendline. Diese erscheint serienmäßig mit ESP, ABS und Klimaanlage. Seit 2006 finden Käufer auch ein Crossmodell des VW Golf Plus – den CrossGolf. Dieser kommt mit einer sportlichen Ausstattung daher, die über einen Berganfahrassistent sowie ein Schlechtwegefahrwerk verfügt und damit bestens für unwegsame Strecken außerhalb des Stadtverkehrs geeignet ist.
