Kaum ein Fahrzeug wurde so schön besungen wie der „Pink Cadillac“ – Künstler wie Bruce Springsteen oder Natalie Cole widmeten der 1902 gegründeten US-amerikanischen Marke einen Song. Bis in die 1970er Jahre machte die Automarke gehobener Fahrzeugklassen durch Länge der Karosserie und den Hubraum der Motoren Schlagzeilen. Allerdings konnte sich der amerikanische Produzent nie erfolgreich gegen europäische Premiummarken durchsetzen. Nach der Jahrtausendwende startet der Inhaber General Motors jedoch einen Versuch, Europa für Cadillac zu begeistern. Modelle wie der Cadillac BLS, der Cadillac CTS, der Escalade oder auch der SRX erobern seitdem Europas Straßen.
Zusätzlich geht die V-Series mit Versionen wie dem XLR-V, dem STS-V sowie dem CTS-V an den Start. Mut zum umweltverträglichen Fahren präsentiert Cadillac mit seinem Escalade Hybrid SUV mit integriertem Hybrid System – schließlich engagiert sich der Automobilhersteller kompromisslos für technische Innovationen, die nicht nur den Kunden begeistern, sondern auch der Umwelt zugute kommen sollen.
Das Logo der Marke war ursprünglich mit einer Krone versehen. Dieses Signet entsprang dem Familienwappen des Gründers der Marke Cadillac – Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac. Allerdings ist im aktuellen Wappen keine Krone mehr vorhanden. Mit dem Schritt, Europas Automobilwelt erobern zu wollen, präsentiert Cadillac eine Vielzahl stylsicherer und technisch innovativer Modelle. Ein Blick auf die Fahrzeuge lohnt sich also auf jeden Fall.
