Kein James Bond ohne Aston Martin

Auch Hollywood kommt an den Modellen der britischen Marke nicht vorbei. In Filmen wie „Goldfinger“ oder „Stirb an einem anderen Tag“ begab sich James Bond auf Tätersuche. Zudem ist Aston Martin im Motorsport ein Begriff - seit seinem Sieg im Jahr 1959 beim 24-Stunden-Rennen von Le Mans denkt der Automobilhersteller nun erstmals wieder über eine Teilnahme im Motorsport nach. Der in Zusammenarbeit mit Lola, Michelin, Koni und BBS entwickelte Wagen soll in der LMP1-Klasse antreten und von einem Aston-Martin-Motor angetrieben werden.

Das Comeback von Aston Martin im Motorsport

Im März 2007 wird ein Großteil des bis dahin unter Ford produzierenden Unternehmens an ein Konsurtium um das britische Rennsportunternehmen Prodrive unter Vorsitz des Geschäftsführers David Richards verkauft. Doch auch dieser Schritt ändert nichts an der Erfolgsphilosophie der britischen Marke: „Aston Martins sind wirklich etwas Besonderes – das waren sie immer und werden sie auch immer sein.“
